These Terms of Trade form part of the agreement between STADT Joinery + Design (STADT) and the Client. By accepting the quotation and paying the required deposit, the Client agrees to these Terms. They should be read together with the quotation and approved drawings.
Quotations remain valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated. Changes to project scope may require a revised quotation. Items not specifically included are deemed excluded.
Acceptance occurs when the quotation is accepted in writing and the agreed deposit has been received. Manufacturing will not commence until acceptance.
10% on acceptance. 50% before manufacture. 20% when cabinetry is complete and available for inspection or collection. 20% on Practical Completion. Late payment may delay manufacture, delivery or installation.
Clients must carefully review dimensions, layouts, appliance locations, colours and selections. Manufacturing commences only after written approval. Changes after approval may be treated as variations.
Variations must be approved before work proceeds. They may affect cost and completion dates. Some changes cannot be accommodated once manufacture has begun.
All cabinetry is custom made. Natural variation in timber grain, colour and texture is not considered a defect.
Clients are welcome to inspect completed cabinetry by prior arrangement before delivery. Minor finishing work may still be completed afterwards.
Where installation is included, safe access and a ready site must be provided. Additional costs may apply if the site is not ready.
Practical Completion occurs when the cabinetry has been substantially completed in accordance with the approved drawings. Minor defects will be rectified within a reasonable time.
Workmanship is carried out with reasonable care and skill. Manufacturer warranties apply where relevant. Warranty excludes misuse, normal wear, accidental damage, unauthorised alterations, structural movement and water damage not caused by STADT.
STADT is not responsible for delays outside its reasonable control, including supplier delays, weather, other trades, site access issues and late client approvals.
Ownership remains with STADT until all amounts are paid in full. Risk passes on delivery or installation.
Unless requested otherwise, STADT may photograph completed projects for portfolio and marketing purposes without identifying the client.
Both parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes through good faith discussion before pursuing legal remedies.
These Terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales.
